Colour: Amber.
Nose: Very smooth and mellow, grassy, juicy, on sweet oranges and tangerines, with some soft leather and peat, pollen, and some Turkish delights.
Taste: Grassy, slightly woody and tannic, resinous, very sweet, with some spiciness, on peat smoke, oranges, tangerines, leather, toffee notes, and some citric presence. The finish is medium, sugary, slightly tannic and woody, round, on toffee, with some very light pollen notes at the end.
General Impression: Made from fresh and refill sherry casks, this Strahisla is quite fresh for its age and the tannic and woody notes are not much more pronounced than in many younger whiskies. I enjoyed it very much and highly drinkable,
